On: 2009-08-13A friend recommended this bag to me for our backpacking trip through Europe. She had bought it for her trip through Southeast Asia, and then to use later this summer for our trip. After her first trip, she was very pleased, so I went ahead and bought the same one. Although I cannot compare it to another, because this was my first backpacking trip, I must say that I was very impressed. The amount of space provided and pockets for organization were very nice. The price was very reasonable as well. Once the bag was adjusted properly to my body type, it made lugging it around from country to country no problem at all. I would most certainly recommend this bag to any backpacker, especially first-timers! GREAT PRODUCT!!! On: 2009-06-30Excellent back pack. Seller was great to work with, and item was shipped ahead of time - a nice surprise! great backpack Kelty 5000 Redcloud  On: 2009-03-26This is a great backpack-would have given it 5 stars except for one thing...I ordered a NorthFace backpack but it was just too small...but the shoulder and waist straps it had were awesome, put Keltys to shame, but the Kelty backpack itself puts the Northface to shame; it has nicer side and front pockets, access through the front and the larger front pocket has compartments, which is a top priority when traveling or packing to have quick access to smaller stuff....wallet, book, maps, etc...so yeah this pack is great, also being a womens pack it is built different and I love that, it is the first womens pack I have gotten and I hope more companys will make more "womens" packs!!! Excellent backpack!!! On: 2009-02-18I LOVE THIS BACKPACK!!! It is an excellent deal, and it is worth every single penny!!! I cant wait to get out and use it more this summer. The straps are very comfortable, and even though I have a very small waist, I can get the straps tight enough, which was an issue for me with other packs. The adjustable shoulder straps also allow you to take more pressure off of your shoulders, which is excellent. Cannot be beat for the price. On: 2009-01-02For the price, it would be difficult to beat this one. It rides well, is comfortable, and since I am a rather small person (very, very strong, but small), it fit quite well. There are plenty of side pockets and it wears quite well. It is perfect for a week long trip but I did take in on a three week jaunt and while I did have to resupply twice, it got me through. Suggest you choose a darker color due to the dirt situation. Suggest that you purchase an over-tarp for rainy weather since this pack, like ever pack that I ever owned, does leek somewhat. I will say that this is the easiest pack I have ever used on my back. Women are built a bit different than men in this way and the design needs to be a bit different. While I am sure I will try others in the future, I am certainly satisfied with this one at this time. This pack can also take quite a beating. Great Pack! On: 2008-09-19I bought the Kelty Red Cloud ST 5000 first and it just didnt fit right. Then I got this one made especially for women and wow what a difference in the fit. I would recommend this pack for anyone taking a longer backpacking trip. Mine isnt this pretty purple and grey color, I got mine when they were still blue and dark gray. Ill have to say I prefer the darker colors because of dirt. Excellent backpack On: 2008-08-28Perfect for a week-long hike and suitable for longer ones also, in a pinch.
