Ive had enough adjustable poles with screw adjusts break or slide to love the flicklock adjustment. Occasionally (once a season) you might need to tighten the screw, but otherwise the thing is rugged and easy enough to adjust with gloves on-- and it never slips.
Ive owned two pairs of these, bought a couple years apart. The baskets and grips are pretty unspectacular. The poles are pretty standard aluminum, but not too heavy. Ive folded the top of one pole and bent slightly one bottom, but between the two sets I still have three complete poles. The halves being interchangeable even though the graphics and baskets changed over the years has been a nice feature as Ive abused these.
