It has just enough "bells and whistles" (adjustments, pockets, loops) to make it flexible enough for weekend expeditions if you know how to pack light. Two people (experienced packers)with two of these and some stuff hanging from loops did fine in Zion National Park backcountry for three days in 2007. Hard to beat for the price.
