![]() Paricon Inc. 625 Toddler Boggon By: Paricon Average Rating: 4.0 Total Reviews: 10 More Information Glides Easily, Safe, Works, Durable and Practical Our family received the Paricon 625 Baby and Toddler Plastic Sled as a hand-me-down. Id given up on using sleds for my babies and toddlers after our experience with the expensive (but lovely) yet completely useless and dangerous wooden sled by Flexible Flyer (their baby sled). So we gave this a try and it works! The high sides of the sled help support the baby or toddler. It is deep and a cushion or folded blanket can be placed to make the bottom more comfortable. Blankets can be wrapped around the child as well to make the sides more soft and comfortable to lean into. Ill be honest the bright plastic one piece construction is not beautiful to me, but it works. It is thick and solid and functional. The sled pulls easily with the attached rope. It glides across the snow with ease. This sled never tipped over due to the childs weight being at the back (like the other brand sled we owned). This sled is so sturdy that when we were finished I passed it down to a third family to use. This is a practical sled that works that is safe and durable. What more can you ask? WARNING !!! THEY ONLY SHIP IN SETS OF 6 I thought I was buying two toboggans for my grandkids. When the 4 X 2 X 2 box arrived, I had no idea that there were 12 toboggans. On the Amazon web page, down deep in the , it states "Packed 6 per poly bag." Deerso would refund my total bill, including their $11 shipping costs. HOWEVER, IT WOULD COST ME $146 to return them to Deerso, more than I paid for the 12 toboggans. I did not request Amazon to pay for return shipment costs, even though Deerso states they are not responsible for the web page development. I am going to sell them on EBay. Tips easily, too small Based on another review, I got this boggon for my 3 year old and 17 month old. Its way too small for both of them. It tips over very easily and the cord is too short as other reviewers mentioned. Neither one of them felt secure in it. I dont think itll get much use and will probably end up collecting dust in the attic while we search for something more suitable. Padded Seat? When the item arrived, it did not have a padded seat as described. Also, I think the cord intended to pull the boggon is far too short. However, since I gave this item as a gift, I cant comment on actual usage. Finally, the item is shipped in an Amazon shipping box, with no additional packaging. I had to turn the boggon into a "gift boggon" filling it with other gifts and wrapping it like a gift basket. Well built sled, but no seat pad... Looks very steardy but did not come with a seat pad. We ended up glueing some foam to the sled. Otherwise, it appears well made. Also, it came in "red" instead of green. great fun & sturdy We bought this in a yard sale several years ago. We used it for the last four years to pull two children in it from home to daycare on snow days and more recently the children have used it to slide down the road on our cul de sac. Great to drag or to slide down hills. Has withstood all sorts of harshness including some dragging over crossroads roads where the snow had been shoveled. Very sturdy! Tips over too easily Tough to pull your little one and turn corners in this sled... it tips over every time no matter how slow you go. You really have to make wide turns to avoid this. And, yes, the cord is too short even for me and I am only 52". My poor 62" husband gets a backache every time he has to pull it around. Also... what gives with this new $70 price tag???? I think we got this thing for less than $12 a year ago. Silly. Fun - but a little wobbly... Like the other reviewers said, the cord is too short, so expect to replace it as soon as you get it. The sled was great fun last winter, and Im sure it will be just as fun this winter. My only minor complaint is that it isnt very wide in the bottom, and with a kid in it, it becomes fairly top-heavy. Half the time you are letting the passenger slide down a hill, it will topple over to one side, especially if your kids moves around a little. Other than that, great fun at a great price. My daughter loves it. We unfortunately, have not yet had snow, but this was, by far, the best Christmas present my 2 year old received this year. She managed to convince everyone around her to pull her around the house the entire day, and continues to do it every time she gets her hands on it. And when were not pushing her, she puts her dolls and Elmos in it and pushes them. There are ocassional presents that you feel good about making the investment in terms of getting your moneys worth. This was definitely one of those. Also, in terms of delivery. I ordered it the Wednesday before Christmas, and it was in my driveway by Friday. Good Toddler Sled We really like this product. It is easy to get in and out of and very light, but sturdy. The only complaint is that the cord should be longer, but it is easily replaced. Well worth the money. Let it snow! |
