  Fresh start snowboarding Average Rating: 3.5 Total Reviews: 7 More Information Good introduction  On: 2008-02-20Decided to learn new a sport at age 36. Bought this DVD on-line, spent money on a full set of snowboard gear at local sports store, and went snowboarding. I also paid 3 hours of 1 to 1 instructor. While this DVD cant beat a live personal instructor, it allows your skill to progress when not physically snowboarding. The video will help you to get off the lift chair the correct way. It will also show you how to ride either goofy or regular. This DVD gave me an edge over other first time snowboarders. It also helped me to progress from novice to intermediate in snowboarding. Bottom line: Watch this DVD, then get a personal instructor. Excellent Starting Point On: 2008-02-08This is a good video for those starting out. Its a little cheesy at some points, but seeing the basics helped me put everything together when i started learning to link turns. COVERS THE BASICS!! On: 2008-01-08Covers most everything you would want to know as a beginner Snowboarder. The Progressions are well explained; and demonstrated for leftys and right foot riders. Some of the extras are very helpful; like how an edge catch might happen. It makes good sense to preview this before you try to get on a Board. Video is not done professionally  On: 2007-12-24The navigations of the DVD is poor, the picture quality is not up to the mark and some instructions are not clear. This is definately not what I expected. Fresh Start snowboarding  On: 2007-11-13I ordered fresh start snowboarding and when i opened the box, the cd was labeled fresh start snowboarding. However, when i played the cd, it was about skateboarding. This seems to be an honest mistake. Dont know how the cd got mislabeled though. Nicely explained by: j_render On: 2007-04-23 I bought this together with the Boarding Skool DVD. After seeing them both, I like this one a lot more. The author gives clear but lengthly explanation of each technique before he demonstrates it with both right foot and left foot stance. Altho the explanation is a little too long for my liking, it does contain lots of very helpful tips for beginners like myself. The demonstration are also excellent examples and very good reference.
