Good for Tahoe     On: 2008-03-18

I researched a good amount of jackets and chose this one because it seemed like it had a good mix of warmth, wind resistance, water resistance, and layering ability. I need a jacket that I can use in Tahoe which isnt really a cold weather issue as much as a layering and lightness issue. I also was looking for a less baggy style since im a throwback to the neon 80s days where everything was form fitting and discotechie. This was a good compromise linking me into the snowboarding fashion with a bit of form fitting. The fit and finish is very good. Lots of good pockets and straps to tight things up here or there or toss keys, cameras, etc. The hood rolls up into a small pouch around the nech which is nice. Ive worn this jacket already while snowshoeing in Tahoe in February in about 30 degree weather, wore a t-shirt under it and I was fine. Put a light sweater or fleece shirt under and skiing at Tahoe is perfect too. Overall, this is a very versatile jacket, well made, nice style, and great price. My price range was between $100-$200 and this was in between I think.
