Very nice looking, and the illusion of being slim ... but the clasp started undoing itself within a year. Replaced it with a model with leather strap, but one day the crystal just ... cracked! For no reason. Skagen is junk.

I am very impressed with the appearance of this watch. A great value for the money. My only apprehension before purchasing this watch were all the comments by other reviews concerning the watch armband. I found this armband easy to adjust, the directions were not difficult at all and the double hinge closing works just fine. I highly recommend this watch.

I bought this watch for my boyfriend for Valentines Day and he absolutely loved it. He loves the color, how lightweight the watch is, and that its much dressier than the other one he had. He does wear it every day, though. I also have a Skagen watch and I love it! Definitely a good watch.

Lightweight, handsome and easy to read this was exactly what I wanted. However, on a few occasions (3?) I have lifted my 8 y/o daughter and the bare titanium bracelet edge has scratched her arm. It is very comfortable to wear but not to rub against. With long sleeves this is a 5.

This watch came in very early and it just as beautiful as it seems on the website.
However, after 2 weeks when my boyfriend(who is wearing it) accidentally hit this watch with mine, the bracelet got a minor damage.

Purchased this watch for my brother for Christmas. (he is a watch collector) It was just a beautiful watch:the blue face was very unusual & the paper thin watch band gave the watch a very expensive look. Another advantage is the self- adjustable band, no trip to the jeweler needed! The price on Amazon was an unbeleivable buy. I did a lot of shopping around and was shocked to find it for $55 on Amazon. In fact the day after I received it, I saw it in a major dept. stores flyer for $139!
I would highly recommend it.

Ive had this watch for about 2 months now, and I really like it. The face has a very low profile on your wrist and it has a very nice blue dial. The mesh is also attractive.

Ive seen where some people complain about the clasp -- I think that may because they may not be connecting the clasp correctly -- I had that problem the first time I wore it. The clasp (picture) instructions were not intuitive, but once I understood how to connect the clasp, Ive had no problem with the clasp at all -- stays together firmly and is pretty easy.

Ive had this Skagen for well over a year and wear it most of the time. I had to comment on a few of the negative reviews Ive seen. How can you complain about it not having a second hand or date window when you knew it didnt have that when you bought it? As for the clasp, I really appreciate the fact that I can resize it very simply at any time as opposed to going to a jeweler to add/remove links to resize. With this watch, you just lift up the clasp holder and move it slightly, and voila, its done. Some have said its hard to read. Ive never had a problem. I can even read it in dark movie theaters, with just a little light from the screen. Dont hesitate if youre sitting on the fence on whether to buy this watch. Go for it. Youll love it.

Overall satisfaction with this product is high. The only negative would be that the clasp had to be bent and manipulated to make sure it would not come undone. I would still recommend.

The watch is very nice and looks exactly like the picture - perfect for a "dressy" or business casual watch. The only issue with it (why I rated it 3 starts instead of 5) is that after a few wears, and without dropping it or anything, my fiance took the watch out to find that it had a completely cracked face. According to the Skagen website, the cost to replace the crystal is ~$30, which is half the cost of what I paid for it. We are going to call to see if there is anything they will do for us, but I question the overall quality of the watch if this could happen without dropping/banging the watch on anything.

A beautiful, sophisticated, sleek, subtle and very, very stylish watch. Very slim and light weight, fits the wrist beautifully.
The face is a lovely iridescent, burnished blue that reflects differently in different lights.
This is my third Skagen and - yes - it wont be my last.
Looking much more expensive that it is, this lovely watch is a real statement of masculine maturity to be worn with pride and to complement good grooming.
Very highly recommended. !!!

I regret purchasing this watch. The strap is poorly designed and snaps open from time to time -- usually at precisely the moment when you are doing lots of things with your hands and can least afford to deal with your watch falling off. It is nice enough to look at but buyer beware.

It was my wifes idea to buy me a new wristwatch. We spent several days searching for a nicely-looking mens wristwatch, both in local stores and online. I think I viewed the entire Amazons collection of brand-name watches. Long story short, we decided to buy this Skagen watch -- and we couldnt be happier with our choice!

Its look is amazing! Not huge and bulky like many others, just the perfect size. This lightweight watch sits and feels nicely on my wrist, thanks to the mesh bracelet. The clasp seems very reliable too. But what we both like most of all is its stylish look. I find it unique, and a perfect match for any man with a taste.

This watch is nothing short of stunning! I received it a few days ago and I cant stop looking at it. With my old eyes, I had trouble seeing the day/date on my Seiko watch, so I wanted something simpler. Well, I found it in this watch. Very lightweight and comfortable. For those ,like myself, who have unfortunate reaction to watches,corrosion and malfunction,the tianium case and strap is the solution. The clasp mechanism is not very reliable and needs to be carefully bent to get a consistent clipping action. The strap clip opened inconveniently until adjustment was made.

Im wearing it at the moment. its lasted this long I dont know why people complaining about. if people wanted a nightvision face for a peice of 18th Century tech. they should just buy a Seiko. Its great for its sole funtionality which is to look pretty in dance halls. you buy it to get stares guys; or dare I let you do this but; let your "Girlfriends" buy it for you.

I was a bit hesitant about buying this watch as a replacement for my stainless Fossil Ive had for many years, but after wearing it for awhile now Im really happy about the purchase. Id read that the watch is difficult to read in all but perfect conditions, but I found this to be completely false. Ive had no problems whatsoever reading the dial in all sorts of different lighting conditions.

The other problem Ive read about from other reviewers concerned the band, namely the difficulty of adjusting the band and that the band comes undone easily. While its not the easiest thing to do, I didnt find it to be overly difficult to adjust the band. Within five minutes and a quick look at the Skagen website, where directions are readily available, I had the band at just the right length. I also havent had any problems with the band coming undone and it feels very secure.

The surface is easily to be scratched, even though the watch is light and beautiful. Please see the image of the watch I uploaded in the customer images, there is a 1 centmeter line scratch near the center and a strange scratch at hour 4.

This is a great watch. The clasp is easy to adjust and takes only 10 minutes to adjust. It was shipped well before the estimated time and is in perfect condition. Well made and light, its extremely slim. SO if you really like heavy watches, this may not be your choice. Otherwise it is perfect for everyone.

I love these watches and am on my second! I also loved the blue face on this watch. My previous Skagen watch was the traditional white faced. What I do find is quite intriguing is that I received more compliments with the white faced watch than the blue: Go figure. Do you wear a watch for your own pleasure or the pleasure of others? Maybe both. I do like the black faced watch but heard that the black wears off the watch band. I could see me buying both a white and black faced Skagen to go along with this watch. As you can easily see, I am a fan of these watches.

this is the best watch if you consider following things:
1. Looks: the color of dial and the feeling of dial on hands is really beautiful.
2. Size and thickness: If you search for slim watches, skagen will be your first and final choice.
3. Mesh Band: This type of band is the speciality of skagen. its un-comparable.
4. Price: Considering the price for overall quality this watch is really affordable.

Bottom Line: Everyone will notice and appreciate about it.
pretty is not always good     On: 2006-10-27

yes, this is an attractive watch, but beyond the superficiality of that is the reality of it being a one-star.

one-star to emphasise the uselessness of this watch in anything but the perfect light, mostly daylight. in any lesss light it is IMPOSSIBLE to see the hands, there is not enough contrast between the hands and the blue dial. the crystal is such that when light from lightbulbs etc shine on it there is a glow-reflection that hides the hands, to where they can not be seen. I was in a dimly lit resturant, in a brighlty lit casino, in the bedroom with a floursence bulb in the lamp and in none of these could i read the time due to the reflective glare. so the watch, time-reading, to me is rendered useless. all the watch then is..is just jewelry.

onto the clasp mechanism...man, who designed that monstrosity! it is lift this, push that, hook over this, press here...it is COMPLEX! and it does not work very easy! it is hard setting up to the size, it is hard putting on, easier to take off, but also easy to then loosen the wrong part and everything comes apart and there goes the watch toward the floor. my wifes landed on the bed, and so did not break...but the landing n a hard floor..maybe bye bye crystal as it may easily break. the clasp, the clasp, go to no war with those who designed this foolish mechanism, youd be shot before figuring out how to set it, get it on or get it off.

and if you are older, and your hands a little worse for wear, no way will you master the clasp.

if i could send it back i would!!!!, now lets see, a gift...yes who do i not like :-)

This watch is just as described in the description and in the reviews. I ended up returning the watch the next day becasue it just wasnt my style. I have a Movado and a few Seikos so I guess I am just used to the size and wieght of larger watches. Though in this Skagen Watch I did appreciate the ease in which you can adjust the band length yourself with only a little screwdriver. The blue face is very attractive and eye catching and the watch itself is very light. If you like larger watches with wieght and substance, I doubt you will appreciate this watch as much as someone who wants a lower profile, light-wieght watch.

You wont find a better watch for the money. I dont think there IS a better watch. This is the most comfortable, reliable, long-wearing, easily adjustable watch I have ever owned. I have a $900 Movado that I never wear because the clasp always comes loose. Besides, Im so happy with my Titanium Skagen I never want to wear anything else. The Skagen mesh bands are the most comfortable thing in the world against your skin.
My only negative remark is dont buy the black. I had that one before and the black coloring wore off where the band meets the watchface, and it looked shabby. This watch I have now is all Titanium, nothing to rub off.

I have had this watch only a few weeks but so far I love it. I have gone though a whole series of $30-$40 watches and never wore them for more than a couple weeks. This one is so light and thin that I dont even notice it. The band kept coming unlatched at first, but bending down the tap that holds it in place just a hair fixed that problem. Otherwise this is a very nice watch for the price.

Skagen Titanium watch     On: 2006-03-07

I bought this watch for my son, who wanted something that looked cool, but also had some style and wasnt heavy to wear. I had been familiar with the Skagen line for a number of years and found something he felt met his requirements. The watch has a metallic dark blue dial and can be a little hard to read at times, as there is no luminosity on the dial or hands, nor is there any back-light system. However, I have never seen a thinner, more light-weight watch for under $75 in my ample lifetime. The movement is quartz and appears to be reasonably accurate. You can spend 20 times more for a flashy watch, but why ?

Yes, it doesnt have second hand and day/date indication, but I think it is ridiculous to rate this watch low because of this as another reviewer did - dont you see it from the photo it doesnt have these features? If you need this - there are other watches available. I personally LOVE minimalistic design.

This watch is wafer thin and for that alone looks great without being overly flashy. I have had SO many people notice this watch and comment on it and even ask where they can be bought. This kind of watch really is supposed to be simple and clean lookng, i.e., no extra gadgets; and it is. If youre going to need the second hand and date, you better pull out the good ol Timex. Theyll always have their place, too.

I just got this watch a week ago. I cant believe how beautiful this watch is. Im afraid the photos online just cant do it justice. The watch is very lightweight, thin, and fits perfectly. You can easily adjust the band to fit any arm. My wrist is quite small, and I did not want a huge Fossil watch on my arm. This Skagen not only was able to adjust to my size, but is so lightweight that I have already forgotten that it is there. I havent worn a watch in 10 years, so that is quite a feat!

When I went to the mall to browse watches, I was so shocked at the whole line of Skagens that all other watches in the mall looked boring and standard. These mesh band Titanium watches really stand out!

The only two negatives about this model is that there is no date indicator and there is no second hand. Theres a few times that Ive wanted a second hand, so maybe my next Skagen... :)
