Not only was he totally surprised with the gift, he was surprised at how warm it kept him compared to his other coat. We are from an area where it is winter for about 5 months of the year so he got a lot of use out if! Highly recommended! Great durability! Suitable for what it is  On: 2008-04-05I must have read the product description incorrectly, because I assumed this was going to be a parka system, like my old Columbia. Im sure this will be a great ski and messy-winter-weather jacket, but its really more of a short parka than what I thought it was. Im a little on the taller size, so I wish it was available in a "long" size, as it hits a little higher on my waist than the picture. Small size - plenty of warmth. On: 2008-04-05Not too much to say - it is a nice short length so it is convenient, but it is very warm, and waterproof. The pockets are huge - I can easily stuff my hat and gloves inside, and theyre lined so theyre warm for your hands as well. The pockets are convenient as well, and zippers are nice to keep stuff from falling out. Light and warm On: 2008-03-28I ordered this jacket on sale and was very pleasently surprised at how lightweight but very warm the jacket is. In my case, I ordered a large (42-44) because that was the only size available. I normally wear a size 40, but this jacket fit perfect. Nice sharp sporty coat On: 2008-03-07This coat is a nice sharp looking sporty coat. As mentioned in a previous review, the black coat does have a gray stripe that stops slightly above the elbows, but it still looks cool. Its warm, great looking, and waterproof fabric is great. This is a great coat for snowboarding, skiing, or just wearing around the town. For colder weather, its nice with a sweatshirt underneath too. The hood doesnt give that much warmth, but its still great to have and be able to tuck away. Very Nice On: 2008-01-27Excellent jacket. My husbands job takes him around the city all day and this jacket was warm and stylish enough without being too bulky. Warm & Comfy without shelling out  On: 2007-12-12Am not really an outdoorsy type and live in the desert but got this for a trip to New Mexico in winter. Pros: its warm, understated, waterproof and its light and easy to move around in. Cons: not many pockets and to be really picky the black has a grey stripe on the shoulder you cant see in main image. If you live in a consistently cold winter climate you might want something thicker with more features (ie pockets). |
