Just right for cool weather when you need something warm and non-bulky. Its water resistant and stops the wind. Feels nice on the inside (a layer of fleece) and the outside. The North Face analog (Apex Pneumatic Jacket) is nice too, but I doesnt feel right around the wrists. If you have cash to spend you might want to go for a sofshell over $100, but for $60 (Amazon price) this jacket is perfect. it's a coat  On: 2007-12-29Is really what you would expect. It flawlessly zips into into the outer liner and has the little tie-downs that hold it in place. It is not as warm as the original inner-liner but not too bad. It does not have the smooth lined sleaves so it is a little tough to put long sleaves into and seems to be a little "bunchy" when moving, however that also means that you dont get the freezing shock from the lined sleeves either. Overall it is a coat, and if you have a need for a replacement inner liner for a Columbia jacket, this works well. it's a coat On: 2007-12-28Is really what you would expect.
