Unless you are looking for a binding with a touring option there really is no other binding to be considered. This binding, which is essentially a Solomon 914, is light, simple and absolutely rock solid. Other bindings with flex plates, flex adjustment, etc. are only complicated systems waiting to fail. I have used everything from Marker, Solomon and even Atomic ess V.A.R.s (which I now realize were absolutely ridiculous) over the past twenty years. My current quiver includes Dynastar Legend Pros, Solomon 1080s, Line Prophet 100s, and Line Si Francis Bacons. All four pairs are mounted with this binding without hesitation.
