  Helly Hansen Paramount Jacket - Men's By: Helly Hansen Average Rating: 5.0 Total Reviews: 1 More Information This is truely an "All-Season" jacket  On: 2008-03-17Even after 2+ years of use, this jacket continues to impress me in many ways. Comfort & Style: Slim but very comfortable. The jacket has a great style, and is perfect for going to work with business casual clothing. Or even going out on the town. (Ive gotten a lot of compliments on this jacket) You can wear a sweatshirt underneath for those extra cold days if needed. (Rarely happens, the fleece layer is surprisingly warm.) Comfortable enough to wear while driving your car. Fits like a glove. All Season Ruggedness: Although it looks to be a simple soft shell, this jacket can handle just about anything you can throw at it. Winter - Ive snowboarded with it in freezing conditions in Colorado. (I went Snowboarding in Vail/Keystone area with just a thermal base layer, fleece, and this jacket.) It kept me warm all day through freezing and windy conditions on the mountain. (The elastic draw strings on the bottom of the jacket helped to prevent any wind and snow from creeping in.) Its windproof construction really proved its ability going down the mountain. (If it starts to get below 20 degrees F, you may consider using this as a medium layer instead. This zipper on this jacket may work with Helly Hansen CIS jackets.) Spring/Summer - Although the material isnt water-proof, I have to say its pretty water-resistant. Having been caught without my umbrella on several occasions leaving from work, the jacket easily withstood walking 10 blocks in downpour without my torso getting wet. (My head, slacks, socks, shoes and messenger bag were a different story.) Fall - Warm enough to wear just a T shirt underneath in 40 degree weather and go on all day hikes. Perfect for mountain biking too! My jacket is still in great condition, and it continues to perform. Its a jacket thats stylish yet practical. Form + Function. Definitely the best investment Ive ever made in a jacket. And with its solid construction, Ive no doubt this thing will last me for years to come. |
