Plan on a trip to the hardware store     On: 2010-03-13

The two screws provided for mounting are long and the screw heads stripped before driven all the way. If not driven all the way then the bracket will not be mounted securely to the wall. Poor design. Headed to the hardware store to buy more screws to replace the only two originals that stripped. Also instructions say to drill 1/8 inch pilot hole for screws. This size hole would be to large. If I knew it would be so difficult to do an easy install I would have not purchased the product.
Works Great     On: 2009-11-11

easy install.
Actually can hold up 3 pairs: the center prongs will hold X-C skis!
Too narrow for most modern skis     On: 2009-02-18

Because this rack is so narrow most modern skis dont fit well. Of the 8 pairs of skis we have only one fits easily into the rack. Fat skis are too wide and thick skis are to thick. The clearance is about and 1 1/4 wide, depth is about 110mm. If your skis match this profile then these should work well. BTW- very easy to mount and sturdy.
Arrived Broken     On: 2009-02-10

Product needs better packaging - probably Amazons fault. It arrived in a big Amazon box with very little wadded-up paper for dunnage. One arm was broken off and another was about to go. It is a good product (we have another hanging on the wall) as long as it arrives in one piece.
Good, but not great     On: 2009-01-30

This is a sturdy and extremely functional product, and I am mostly pleased by it. There are two things that keep me from giving it 5 Stars, though:

1) the holes for installation are NOT on 16" centers, which most studs are. Instead, the holes are about 15 1/2", which gives you a little less margin of error if youre installing on studs hidden behind drywall.

2) as mentioned elsewhere (I believe) the screwheads are a bit soft, and will strip if youre not careful.

Other than that, works exactly as advertised.
The Best Way to Hang Your Skis Up     On: 2008-05-10

This is by far the best way to hang up a pair of skis and poles. Sturdy construction. Works well will all size and shape of ski. Better than similar wooden racks. Prices is perfect. Easy installation. Perfect for use in lockers and mud rooms.
handy ski rack     On: 2008-02-16

this is the perfect, simple and efficient way to store a pair of skis and poles. I used 3 of them in my locker at the lodge. Easy to install.
Perfect for the garage, and not even for ski's     On: 2008-02-08

I actually bought this for holding garden supplies. Shovel, Rake, some tree trimmers, etc. All of Racors products work really well for me. I have about 6 of them. They mount easily, they hold well, and they are made of very strong steal under the nicely coated rubber that also grips well. I have even put an Axe and Sledge Hammer on this, and the holders dont even flex, let alone bind. I highly recommend this product.
Just what I wanted     On: 2007-12-23

I bought this product to store 3 pair of skis and thats exactly what it does. Its plenty sturdy for all three pairs.
Wall Mount Ski Rack     On: 2007-11-13

This is a great value for the price and is very strong. Cleaned up my ski clutter in an instant!
Excellent product, easiest install ever!     On: 2007-05-06

I bought this and it came in no time. The installation was simple, straight forward as long as youve got a powerful drill to make a good hole and a strong, sturdy wall. Ive got it mounted and its not going anywhere. Two fresh pairs of skis and poles, one for me and my girlfriend and it stays put, until ski season again. Great buy.

Does what its supposed to. Sturdy metal frame, easy to mount. Easy to arrange multiple units on studs to use that hidden space in your garage or closet.
ski rack     On: 2007-01-09

the racor racks are a good value. they are not fancy, but we used them in mud room for skis and other snow gear. the singles seem to work better than doubles, as ski weight is concentrated on rack center. it does take some fiddling with ski straps to get the skis to hang at the correct height and correct distance from ski tips.
