Snow shoes are rated in inches, like 25" 30" etc, the larger they are, the more weight they can distribute over the snow and you will not sink into the snow as easy. That being said, if you have small feet, you will find that once you insert your shoe all the way to the front of the binding, the heel of your shoe may not reach the heel plate on the back of the snowshoe. The heel plate is not ment to be adjusted. If you are handy, you can modify by redrilling some holes, and sliding it forward about 1 to 1.5 inches. That is what i had to do for my wifes shoe. My 30" snow shoe fit my size 10.5 boot just fine, but i had to adjust the toe flap that covers your boot because it will rub up against the front of the snow shoe and not allow you to walk normal. Could cause you to trip if your not very carefull. Those are the two things to be aware of. If i needed another shoe, personally i would still buy it and make the modifications that i need to, but its definatly not a product that you take out of the box, slip on, and go walking in, that why i only gave it 3 stars. Better Packing? Fast shipping. Although I think they could have been packaged better. There were pulls in the bag since the snowshoes were able to move around so much. Also, the first time I used them one of the skrews can loose and I lost the bottom plate. I dont know if this was due to the packing or if it was just a faulty product, but it was pretty agrivating. Honestly, I dont really know if that was even the sellers fault, but the product definatley needed to be packed so it couldnt move around so much in the box. |
